I wear a 10.5 for most shoes but go a 10 for dress shoes where I’m usually wearing thinner socks or don’t have the padding of an athletic shoe. Because this is a slipper like shoe I planned on wearing with no socks I ordered my “dress shoe” size of 10. My heal was slightly coming out. A friend who’s owned many Tom’s told me to go an entire size smaller because it will stretch to my foot. I returned and ordered a 9.5…a full size smaller than what I consider my shoe size! And it fits snug, my heel no longer slips. I don’t think I would read a review and ever Order a full size smaller…but that’s my review, or at least a half size smaller than your dress shoes.Toms Shoes have been around for a while. The style is ageless and their color selection has improved since my first pair many years ago. They last amazingly long and are appropriate for the beach as well as everyday errands, going to the movies, casual social events, etc.. When they become older, I wear them for grungy work on my deck and routine homeowners' "outdoor stuff". I generally have 2-3 pairs ready to spring into action for whatever. I keep them until " they" can't stand the abuse any longer .My most recent purchase was via their website, due Covid restrictions. Whenever possible, I try to purchase from "brick & mortar" stores, as they have been hit by by a change in consumer buying habits, Covid, etc. Yet the internet service makes a strong case.I digress. So I've gone through roughly. 9 or 10 pairs of these and I'll come back for more. I wear boots most the time but for walks I wear these I get about 40 to 50 miles before holes show up and I still go another 30. I only do 5 to 10 miles at a time with them but they are my favorite shoe to just slip on my days off.Though they may be considered a bit feminine, I (a male) like them as a slipper. Keeps my feet warm but not too warm. The canvas on this shoe feels pretty rough, but it is still a decent shoe. The bottoms are a bit slippery so be careful when walking on smooth surfaces. These could be more comfortable, but for the price they get the job done. Overall, it does what it is supposed to, but is lacking in the comfort. I'd buy again if I needed to.Love these for house shoesMe tocó pedir media talla más grandeGreat quality and comfortMost people, had said buy a size larger as they are tight. I am size 10 UK, so I bought a size 10.5 UK, and it is slightly too big. This indicates to me, that the Toms get the size correct first time, they look good, and feel good, alas slightly big because I bought a slightly larger size but I love them. These lasted about 9 months before they faded and a hole appeared over the toes on one of them. Initially very tight, to the point that I could hardly get them on, but as others have pointed out they do loosen up and after about a month they were snug, but comfortable. I liked the look of them and was initially happy with my purchase. However, nine months later a hole had appear in one slipper and the other was showing wear in the same place. Also, areas of the colour had faded badly and they looked shabby and much older than they really were. I threw them out at that point.I have slim and long feet so slip on shoes have always been a bit of a nightmare for me. I often have to get a smaller size so that the length compensates for being too wide which is the only way they stay on my feet - and usually this means that shoes pinch my toes. However, with these Toms, I haven't had that issue at all. I bought a size 9.5 (but I noticed this morning that the shoes say 10.5???) and they fit perfectly on my size 10 feet. They are by far the comfiest slip on shoe I have purchased.I also have very soft skin and most slip-ons rub (as they usually are not intended for sock wearing) but these didn't at all. I chanced walking quite far with them on (over 3 miles and without socks) and they were as comfortable at the end of the walk as at the start.I am very happy with my purchase and would definitely think about getting another pair. I'm not sure what happened with the size though. I think I'd choose 10 (I am a size 10) for my next pair just to see.I use TOM's as house slippers for myself and one of my sons. Might sound a bit OTT but if you think of it, why cant you use elegant enough slip-shoes at home where you/I spend most of my time. I've washed my TOMS over and over and they come out as on day one. It's taken me ages to shell the £20 or whatever it is to buy what to me look like a pair of espadrilles which you pick up in France for half the price but these are not the same: these are durable, very very well made. TOMS are successful and every bit of that success is in my opinion totally deserved.Had Toms before but these have the harder wearing outer sole, always fit my wide feet quite well, so comfortable and stylish, fair enough you could buy similar for a little bit less but if what Toms say is true then giving a pair to someone less fortunate is a nice thought and long may it continue
